Winter 2025 Override Form

UNIVERSITY+ SESSION OVERRIDES 

Students who require special permission to enroll in CICS, COMPSCI, or INFO courses offered through University+ (Univ+ or U+ on SPIRE), formerly called University Without Walls:

  1. Please request an enrollment appointment on SPIRE. Navigate to Manage Classes > Enrollment Appointments > Summer/Winter/ND Enroll Appt from the top menu; then follow instructions on page. Students can request enrollment appointments beginning one week before registration opens for that term. 
  2. Then submit a CICS Override request

Overrides are not intended to bypass prerequisites. Students without the listed prerequisites on SPIRE must provide alternative prerequisites for review. 

Please note that the Summer/Winter University+ Override process is different than the Spring/Fall Override process.

I have checked that my SPIRE ID is correct and I have entered a school email ending in .edu (not a personal email address).

Override Information
Include the section number (for example, 01AA or 02LL). List any labs/discussions that work with your schedule. 
Please describe why you are requesting this class (it’s a degree requirement, an option for an elective, or personal interest). If you are requesting multiple courses and some are backups, let us know the amount of courses you are hoping to take.
